Spectacular Scenery

Leaving Edinburgh we journey north enjoying amazing views of the Forth Bridges. We make our way through the Kingdom of Fife and Perthshire before stopping in the village of Dunkeld, where the first of the Jacobite risings ended in bloody massacre. Once we leave Dunkeld, we’ll continue our journey into the Cairngorms National Park, the home of the Grampian Mountains, passing Dalwhinnie Distillery and taking in the breathtaking sights of Loch Laggan and on to Fort Augustus for some Nessie hunting.

There’s plenty of time to enjoy the optional boat cruise, or for those who prefer to stay on dry land, explore the highland village of Fort Augustus and take a stroll along the banks of Loch Ness. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Nessie!

Discover the Real Braveheart

Our journey home takes us along the side of Ben Nevis, the highest point in the UK and through the town of Fort William. Our next stopping point is the jaw-dropping Glen Coe where we’ll spend some time taking in the sights. We then continue towards Edinburgh stopping to see our big pal Hamish the Hairy Coo and his family. Our final leg of the journey takes us through Braveheart country with views of the National Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle.

Throughout your journey you’ll be educated and entertained by your brilliant guide as they share Scotland’s history and folklore. Combine this with some of the best music Scotland has to offer and you will certainly have a day to remember!

This tour departs from High Street Hostel at 8:00am, and returns to Edinburgh at approximately 8:00pm.
