See the Hogwarts Express Crossing Glenfinnan Viaduct on 2 of our tours in 2025!

You’ve asked and we’ve listened! In 2025 we’ll now be including the beautiful Glenfinnan Viaduct (made famous by the Hogwarts Express in Harry Potter) on 2 of our 3 tours! We’ve been toying with the idea of adding it back to our 3 Day Loch Ness & Skye tour for months and finally decided to rejig the route to include this iconic stop. With this inclusion, we’ve decided to rename our midweek 3 day tour to The 3 Day Loch Ness & Skye Magic and we’re sure you’ll be spellbound by our new itinerary.

So, what’s changed?

Our 3 Day Loch Ness & Skye Magic tour was always very similar to our 3 Day Isle of Skye tour, except with a night at the beautful Lochside Hostel and the opportunity for you to jump on a tour midweek and then spend your weekend enjoying Edinburgh. But we kept thinking to ourselves, why not do more? So that’s why we’ve completely changed up the final day in order to fit even more iconic spots into our 3 days!

Day 1

The first day we spend meandering up through Perthshire’s beautiful forests, cut through the Cairngorms, stop off at Culloden before ending our day at Lochside Hostel, right on the banks of Loch Ness.

Day 2

Day 2 is spent on the Isle of Skye. The most famous and majestic of all of Scotland’s islands and the sight of many movie sets and photographic excellence over the years. Portree, Sligachan, The Old Man of Storr, the Quiraing. All the top spots on this top isle. Then a peaceful night spent at our Lochbuie Guest House in the fishing village of Kyleakin.

Day 3

Then onto our new third day. This is where things get interesting. Instead of heading back over the Skye Bridge, we’ll be heading south to the Sleat Peninsula and one of the most beautiful ferrry crossings in Scotland. Arriving in Mallaig, with its white sandy beaches and quaint town center, will give us the extra time needed to give you a chance to see one of Scotland’s most stunning glens, Glenfinnan. It’s at the end of this glen we find the Glenfinnan Viaduct (where our Hogwarts Express will cross) as well as the Glenfinnan Monument. After watching that famous train make its pass, we’re off to the hauntingly beautiful Glencoe and Rannoch Moor; before cutting through the Trosssachs on the way back to Edinburgh.

2025 will also bring about some more changes as we start allowing you to book your pre and post tour accommodation for each tour. This accommodation will be at Castle Rock Hostel, the top rated hostel in all of Scotland, which is also the departure point for the tour! So now you can rest assured that not only will you be able to see some of the Scotland’s top sights; you’ll also be able to secure a bed for when you return to Edinburgh!
