Branka – Youngest Tour Guide of MacBackpackers

“I’m here to stir things up in the MacBackpackers villa. I’m the youngest ever tour guide and I’m gonnae keep the boys on their toes and put them in their place.”

Branka might be the youngest guide on the team, but don’t let that fool you – she’s got the energy to match the wild landscapes of the Highlands of Scotland. Expect quick wit, plenty of laughs, and maybe even a bit of head-banging on tour! She’s a bit of a metal head, loves fantasy and drives a motorbike (but there will be no head-banging while driving of course).

Neil – Scotland Tour Guide enjoys a Good Night’s Sleep

“My type on paper? Backpackers who go to bed at 10pm so I can get some sleep.”

A man who values his rest (and who can blame him after days driving around while telling story after story about the Loch Ness, Glen Coe, and the Isle of Skye). Neil brings the calm to the storm, making sure you see Scotland’s most breathtaking landscapes – before clocking in some well-earned shut-eye. Neil has been guiding our tours for over 20 years and while he’s no spring chicken anymore, our guests frequently refer to him as the biggest legend in Scotland! He is always up for getting to know new people and having a bit of fun with guests (but only before 10pm).

Stewart – On the Hunt for Highland Cows

“I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to find hairy coos…”

Forget finding love in the MacBackpackers villa (he’s coupled up with a loving partner already). Stewart is on the ultimate quest: spotting record numbers of legendary Highland cows to show his guests. Stewart is also a true history buff! Whether he’s guiding you through Scotland’s rugged Highlands or sharing incredible Scottish folklore, you’ll quickly see why he’s a fan favourite on tour. And don’t worry about his ‘Resting B**** Face’, he’s a softy at heart. Just don’t mention Love Island to him because it might give him the ick…

He’s also a keen traveller having gone to over 60 countries! Oh… and the unfortunate nickname ‘Mark 2’ only stuck because we already had a Mark in the team when he joined (Handsome Mark). Sometimes we call him Mark 2.0 instead to try to make him feel more special. Sorry Mark 2, looks like you’ve been ‘mugged off’!
