We focus our tours on travelling on a budget so all our accommodation is in dorm rooms at some of the best located hostels in the Scottish Highlands.
Lochbuie Guesthouse
Kyleakin, Isle of Skye
Lochbuie is our own private guest house on the Isle of Skye reserved exclusively for Macbackpackers tour guests!
The guest house has a full kitchen, warm showers, a lounge, fireplace and is walking distance to the pubs. The dorms are warm, comfortable and a great place to rest your head after a day out exploring Scotland.

Lochside Hostel
Altsigh, Loch Ness
Lochside Hostel is the most perfectly located hostel in all of Scotland. With a private beach and uninterrupted Loch Ness views, there’s surely not a better place to stay while searching for Nessie or simply enjoying a dram and a dip in Loch Ness.
All of our tours visit the Loch Ness with the chance to swim in its waters, including the 3 Day Isle of Skye tour. However, two of our tours spend a whole night at the Lochside Hostel, where you can spend your evening admiring the views!
