Where We Stay

On every Macbackpackers Tour we pre-book the accommodation for you at one of our preferred hostels in the Highlands! We focus our tours on travelling on a budget so all our accommodation is in dorm rooms at some of the best positioned hostels in the Scottish Highlands.

Lochbuie is our own private guest house on the Isle of Skye reserved exclusively for Macbackpackers tour guests! The guest house has a full kitchen, warm showers, a lounge, fireplace and is walking distance to the pubs. The dorms are warm, comfortable and a great place to rest your head after a day out exploring Scotland.

Lochside Hostel is the most perfectly placed hostel in all of Scotland. With a private beach and uninterrupted Loch Ness views, there’s surely not a better place to stay while searching for Nessie or simply enjoying a dram and a dip in Loch Ness.

This charming town was founded to support the whisky distillery in the middle of the town and has become a popular destination for visitors from all over the UK.
